Help with Shelving in Kitchen?

The fasteners you add to hold drawer slides do not need much thickness. The load they will bear will be in shear, and you do not need a lot of material before you are holding up a pretty good load - a quarter-inch of thickness will support a single drawer full of cans, just fill every screw hole in your drawer slides. This will require a little ingenuity on your part. You can make custom drawers, add bottom-mount drawer slides to them and mount the slides' standing parts directly to the inside of the tall, skinny cupboard. That way you can extend the drawer to get to everything that's even all the way at the back. Space them closely so you do not give up any volume to reaching space; you get that when you pull the drawer out. You may find you need to add fill strips to bring the surface of the walls to even with the door opening; if that's the case rely on good wood glue to hold the filler strips in place. Obviously your drawers will have to be able to fit through that opening. This sounds like a fun project to me, but I am a woodworker with a fair amount of experience at exactly this sort of custom job; your mileage may vary. Call some local cabinet shops with your drawer requirements, some of them may be willing to take on the job. They might want the whole project or you could simply task them with making the drawers and you finish the installation. It's up to you. Good luck with it.

1. What is this kitchen appliance called?

Stick or hand blender

2. How are Crocs for the kitchen/in general?

You would have to get Crocs without any holes in them for kitchen work. Shoe fit is so personal, its real hard to say if they would work for your feet. Why not try some on at a store & try to wear them in the store for at least 10 minutes at the end of the day (when your feet are at their largest) and try to get a sense of how they feel.

3. Bath tub plug stuck in pipe.?

have you tried flushing the toilet/draining a sink full of water in the bathroom or kitchen/draining a washer full of water? i ask because if the water still backs up in the tub, then your main is blocked. so the water does drain down after a while? if it does, you would want to keep doing that to get as much as that draino out of the pipes as possible because if it is not the main, you will need a plumber and they do not appreciate getting burned/their equipment eat up by drain cleaners. if they know you put draino in it, they may not come at all. but you could get a wire hanger, put a small hook on the end, fish around though both the plate and the drain and see if you can grab something that way. and in case it is only hair as a previous answerer said, i found 1 product that worked on that when draino did not . i am out so i can not tell you the name, just that is liquid and it came in a red, plastic jug. i am sure there are some others out there like that. see if you can find one that specifically mentions 'hair'.

4. Smells in kitchen sink

"Can it be something behind the walls that I would have no clue about?"YES- sometimes smelly drains are an indication of a partial blockage or inadequate (or blocked) venting. Sometimes even a partial blockage can cause malfunction of the vent system and allow smelly sewer gases to rise from a sink drain. I would suggest that you run a drain cable down the line, since you do not mention having tried that.

5. How many peanuts are in an ounce?

Peanuts vary in size and weight, that is why the nutrition information is listed in ounces. As you are on a "medical diet" you should get an inexpensive kitchen scale to measure things out. Measuring food by weight, rather than volume is much more accurate. You can get a kitchen scale and most department stores for under $10-15 dollars. BTW, I looked at the USDA nutrition charts, and they estimate that one dry-roasted peanut with salt weighs about 1 gram. There are 28.35 grams in one ounce - so that would be about 28 peanuts in one ounce. But you don't know if the peanuts they used to come to that determination are the same size as the peanuts you have....so you are still best to get a scale.

I Want to Paint My Kitchen Cabinets, Can I Use Spray Paint?
Yes you could, but it would be very difficult to get an even-looking coat on the cabinets without having a bunch mist onto the surrounding walls...your biggest problem will be the "fallout" from the spray paint that will settle onto the surrounding areas that you do not want to paint. Plus it will dry a lot quicker, so if paint does get in unwanted areas it will be a lot harder to clean up. It will work, it will hold up, but the hard part would be getting it to "look professional." You would have to do an extensive taping/plastic covering job for the walls and ceiling around them, at EXACTLY the point you want the paint to stop, not to mention cover your whole floor with plastic, because spray paint mist tends to drift and settle, even though the application of it works faster than with a brush. And getting the undersides would be even harder, and you would have to plasticize the counters too. I think, purely for the control aspect of it and in getting the edges correct, that you would be better off using a brush or roller.1. Cat keeps dumping out her water bowl?Go to the pet store ( Petsmart, Petco, etc ) and buy a DOG bowl. They make the kind that are bigger at the bottom (slant-sided) and can not tip over. Even my Labrador Retriever has a hard time trying to turn his over!! If you get the kind that's made out of stainless steel ( or what looks like S.S. ) that's the best kind for a cat's water. It wo not "harbor" germs / bacteria like plastic. OR......you can get a HEAVY CERAMIC ( straight-sided ) bowl for her water. These are hard to knock over, and are also less "friendly" to bacteria / germs. The bacteria / germs that plastic "harbors" on the rim of the bowl, is what sometimes causes "pimples" on a cat's chin. That's why plastic bowls are not good as water bowls. Hope this helps..........Good luck.2. Is Alcohol Solvent safe for plastic? It wo not hurt plastic, but probably wo not take the paint off well. To strip plastic models we usually soak them in the foaming type of Easy Off oven cleaner(use gloves, do this outside). You could also try Simple Green(friendlier) but it could take a few days. Scrub with old toothbrush to loosen stubborn areas. Good luck3. anyone selling mermaid tails? You mean a swimsuit that makes you look like a mermaid. Try a supply house for synchronized swimming. That's a big piece of plastic to cast, and a rare, almost custom request, so I do not know if a quality one will fit in your budget.4.
